Sharda World School, Agra, organized an enriching and thought-provoking literary programme titled “Young Minds and the Inspiration of Writers” on 12 May 2026. The event aimed to cultivate a love for literature, encourage creative expression, and inspire students to explore the transformative power of reading and writing.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who eagerly engaged with distinguished literary personalities and gained valuable insights into the world of literature, creativity, and lifelong learning.
The event was graced by eminent guests, including Dr. Satna Singh, renowned author and District Scout Master from Hathras, and Dr. Pushpendra Singh, teacher and litterateur from PM Shri Samviliyan Vidyalaya. The guests received a warm welcome from the school community and were honoured for their contributions to literature and education.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satna Singh emphasized the importance of continuous learning and self-development. She reminded students that learning and teaching are lifelong processes and highlighted the unique role of literature in shaping society. Quoting the famous line, “Where the sun cannot reach, the poet can,” she explained how literature has the power to illuminate thoughts, emotions, and experiences beyond ordinary boundaries. She encouraged students to express their imagination, creativity, and perspectives through writing and storytelling.
Dr. Pushpendra Singh captivated the audience by sharing the inspiring life journey of former President and renowned scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Through stories of perseverance, dedication, and hard work, he motivated students to dream fearlessly and pursue their aspirations with determination. He also highlighted the role of writers as sensitive observers of society who bring ideas to life and contribute to positive social change through their words.
One of the highlights of the programme was the display of books authored by the guest speakers. Students showed keen interest in exploring the books and learning about the writing process. An interactive session followed, during which students enthusiastically asked questions related to literature, creativity, writing techniques, and personal inspiration. The guests responded with thoughtful and encouraging insights, creating an engaging learning experience for all participants.
The school's Vice Principal, Ms. Neeta Rani, honoured the distinguished guests with mementoes as a token of appreciation. Head of School, Mr. Satyaki Banerjee, encouraged students to develop a regular reading habit and engage in creative writing, emphasizing that writing plays a significant role in personality development, communication skills, and intellectual growth.
