Sharda World School, Agra, recently hosted its Inter-House Recitation Competition for students of Grades I to V, providing young learners with an engaging platform to showcase their speaking abilities, creativity, and stage presence. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation and reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing communication skills and self-confidence among students.

The competition featured two exciting segments—Recitation and JAM (Just A Minute)—allowing students to demonstrate their command over language, expression, and spontaneous thinking. Participants captivated the audience with their confident performances, clear articulation, and expressive delivery, making the event both enjoyable and inspiring.

In the Primary Category (Grades I & II), Earth House secured the first position with an impressive performance. Fire House claimed the second position, while Air House earned third place. The competitive spirit continued in the Grades III–V Category, where Earth House once again emerged as the winner, followed by Water House in second place and Fire House in third.

The JAM (Just A Minute) Competition witnessed students thinking on their feet and expressing their ideas with confidence and clarity. Water House secured the first position, while Fire House and Earth House achieved the second and third positions respectively.

The event was judged by Mr. Sandeep Sharma and Ms. Jainab Begum, who evaluated participants based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including memorization, pronunciation and clarity, expression and voice modulation, confidence and stage presence, and overall presentation. The judges appreciated the efforts of all participants and commended the students for their enthusiasm, preparation, and impressive performances.

Beyond the competition, the event served as a valuable learning experience for students, encouraging them to overcome stage fear, improve their communication skills, and develop a deeper appreciation for literature and public speaking. The confidence and enthusiasm displayed by the participants reflected the effectiveness of such platforms in fostering holistic development.
